Farewell to the King

I had the privilege of seeing golfs greatest ambassador, Arnold Palmer, play his last competitive round at the Masters It brought tears to my eyes and sent shivers down my spine each time we offered him a well-deserved ovation. Throughout the day, we could tell where he was by the rousing applause from his Army. As he teed off at the 13th and crossed the Nelson Bridge across Rae’s Creek, the skies opened up, allowing all the golf souls in heaven to let out a cry at Amen Corner. They were tears of happiness for the wonderful memories and tears of sadness to say farewell to a dear friend. Mike Lackovic, Pembroke Pines. Fla.
